Dirt Devil Softball Results From Blair

BLAIR – A trio of Dirt Devil softball teams began their summer season with an early May weekend tournament.

From Blair, the Dirt Devil 9s, 10s and 12s had teams in action on Saturday, May 7 and Sunday, May 8.

The Dirt Devil 12s are off to a 2-2 start to the season. Wayne Dirt Devils suffered a 9-0 loss to Sioux City Futures-Orange on Saturday before winning back-to-back games of 8-1 over Fury 11U-Kaipust and 20-5 over Fremont Force-Bauer to conclude the afternoon. On Sunday, Fury 11U-Kaipust won 9-7 over the Dirt Devil 12s.

The Dirt Devil 10s opened Saturday with a 13-0 loss to the Nebraska Storm 9U, defeated Blair Chaos-Wimer, 7-2 and suffered a 15-5 loss to Blair Chaos-Hall in pool play. During Sunday’s bracket play, the Wayne Dirt Devils won 15-3 over the Wayne Dirt Devil 9s but lost 12-4 to the Nebraska Storm 9U. The Dirt Devil 10s are now 2-3.

The Dirt Devil 9s dropped three pool play games on Saturday by scores of 14-1 to Blair Chaos-Hall, 14-8 to Blair Chaos-Wimer and 18-7 to Nebraska Storm 9U. In Sunday’s bracket play, the Wayne Dirt Devil 9s suffered a 15-3 loss to the Dirt Devil 10s. The Dirt Devil 9s are 0-4 on the season.

We’ll have more information once available for the 9s/10s teams as well as 12s; 14s and the 16/18s Dirt Devil softball teams along with youth baseball for Didgets, Broncos, Ponies and Post 43 Jr/Sr Legion baseball teams this summer.
