WAYNE – The Dirt Devil 14s took part in a home doubleheader Thursday evening.
From the Summer Sports Complex, the Dirt Devil 14s (10-16) welcomed in Highway 91 and picked up back-to-back victories of 11-3 and 9-5.
In the opening victory, Lily Gubbels doubled and drove in three runs while Jordyn Gamble singled, drove in two runs and scored. Serenity Heil singled and drove in a run; Reagan McGuire added two RBI and three runs scored; Kaylei McIntosh accounted for two RBI and two runs scored; Kassidee Holz and Makenna Mattison both scored twice as Kayleigh Graybeal scored.
Gamble (58) picked up the complete game victory in three innings allowing three runs off one hit while striking out five batters and walking one.

During the second win, Gubbels doubled, drove in two runs and scored. Gracelynn Daniels and Holz both accounted for a RBI; Justice Olson and Gamble both scored twice as single runs came from McGuire, McIntosh, Heil and Mattison.
Gamble (69) picked up the complete game victory in four innings allowing five runs (two earned) off five hits while striking out seven batters and walking one.

The Dirt Devil 16/18s (15-13) were scheduled to visit Fremont on Thursday but did not play. The team will next visit Ponca on Tuesday, July 5.
