Dirt Devil 12s Dominate Stanton, Outscore Opponent 41-7

STANTON – The Dirt Devil 12s were also in action Tuesday evening after securing a berth in the Class C State Softball Tournament this past weekend for late June.

Wayne visited Stanton and took control from the start posting wins of 22-3 and 19-4. The Dirt Devil 12s are now 10-10-1 on the season.

Hannah Gubbels recorded a home run, two singles and three RBI as Taytem Ellis doubled, singled twice and drove in three runs to lead Wayne at the plate. Rachel Hobbs also doubled, picked up two singles and drove in a run; Delaney Kruse singled, doubled and drove in two runs; Rylin Hall singled twice and drove in two runs; Sammi Gubbels singled twice while Caitlyn Mostek and Madelyn Janke both singled and drove in a run.

Hailey Schroeder picked up the win in three innings allowing three runs (two earned) off of three hits while striking out four batters and walking five.

Kruger recorded a pair of singles and four RBI as Sam Gubbels added a single, triple and two RBI for the Dirt Devil 12s. Mostek singled and drove in two runs; Hall doubled and drove in a run; Liberty Titiml singled and drove in a run; Schroeder singled; Jersi Jensen tacked on two RBI as Emily Jaeger accounted for one RBI.

Delaney Kruse picked up the win in four innings allowing four earned runs off of three hits while striking out eight batters and walking three.

The Dirt Devil 12s are next set to host a triangular on Wednesday, June 13 from the Summer Sports Complex with Highway 91-Dodge and the Norfolk Kelly’s coming to town. Wayne will also visit Pender on Thursday, June 14.
