Day Two Scores From Elkhorn Valley Bank Northeast Nebraska Shootout

WAYNE – Two sites again split the eight-game schedule in half during the 2021 Elkhorn Valley Bank Northeast Nebraska Shootout Wayne Holiday Tournament.

Girls Division games transitioned to Rice Auditorium on the campus of Wayne State College while boys division games moved to the Wayne Jr/Sr High School gymnasium on Wednesday.

Girls Division loser’s bracket scores: Wayne State College

Pender defeated Winnebago, 61-50. Pender advances to the fifth place game on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. while Winnebago will next play at 11 a.m. in the seventh place game. Both contests will be at Wayne High School.

Laurel-Concord-Concord-Coleridge defeated Homer, 64-47. LCC will next play Pender at 2:30 p.m. in the fifth place game while Homer will face Winnebago in the seventh place game at 11 a.m. from Wayne High School on Thursday.

 

Girls Division winner’s bracket schedule: Wayne State College

Pierce defeated Wayne, 53-35. Pierce will next play in the championship game at 2:30 p.m. while Wayne will play in the consolation game at 11 a.m. both on Thursday from Wayne State College.

Auburn defeated Hartington Cedar Catholic, 49-36. Auburn will next face Pierce in the championship game at 2:30 p.m. while HCC will play Wayne in the consolation game at 11 a.m. on Thursday from WSC.

 

Boys Division loser’s bracket scores: Wayne High School

Winnebago defeated Pender, 71-59. Winnebago advances to the fifth place game on Thursday at 4:15 p.m. while Pender will next play at 12:45 p.m. in the seventh place game. Both contests will be at Wayne High School.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge defeated Homer, 60-29. LCC will next play Winnebago a 4:15 p.m. in the boys fifth place game while Homer will face Pender at 12:45 p.m. in the seventh place game on Thursday from Wayne High School.

 

Boys Division winner’s bracket schedule: Wayne High School

Wayne High defeated Pierce, 42-22. Wayne will next play at 4:15 p.m. in the boys championship game while Pierce will play at 12:45 p.m. in the consolation game both at Wayne State College Thursday.

HCC defeated Auburn, 71-69 in six overtimes. HCC will next face Wayne High in the championship game at 4:15 p.m. while Auburn will play Pierce in the consolation game at 12:45 p.m.

 

Day three of the 2021 Elkhorn Valley Bank Northeast Nebraska Shootout will take place on Thursday, December 30. Girls and boys fifth and seventh place games will be played at Wayne High School while the consolation and championship games for both the girls and boys will take place at Rice Auditorium on the campus of Wayne State College.

Both consolation games will be carried on The City ‘KCTY’ 98.9/1590 and waynedailynews.com while both championship games will be aired on Big Red Country ‘KTCH’ 104.9 and waynedailynews.com.
