HUMPHREY – Class D northeast Nebraska track & field teams competed in the D-3 meet on Thursday.
From the Humphrey Sports Complex, Humphrey was the host.
Humphrey St. Francis won the girls division with 103 points followed by Wausa in runner-up with 75 points. Area results favored Pender in fifth (68); Randolph in ninth (21) and Winside 10th (one point).
D-3 District Results.
Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family won the boys division with 99 points followed by Bloomfield in runner-up with 89 points. Area team finishes came from Pender in seventh (32) and Winside in eighth (28).
Winside boys automatically qualifying for state are Gabe Escalante who finished runner-up in the 400-meter dash (51.83) and Kaden Hunt placed second in the high jump (5’ 10”).
The 2022 NSAA State Track and Field Championships will be on Wednesday and Thursday, May 18 – 19 for A/B qualifiers as well as Friday and Saturday, May 20 – 21 for C/D qualifiers from Burke Stadium in Omaha.
Qualifying information: The top two individuals from each District and next six fastest times/efforts in individual events qualify for the State Meet as do the top relay and next seven fastest relays.
