Cornhole Tournament Slated For Saturday During Wayne County Fair

WAYNE – If you competed in the Wayne Chicken Show cornhole tournament, make sure to get your team ready for another cornhole tournament this weekend at the 100th celebration of the Wayne County Fair.

According to a release from Wayne County Ag Society, all are invited to sign-up for the Saturday, July 23 cornhole tournament.

Entry fee for a two-person team (does not include gate entry to fair) is $20 as a total of 32 teams can register for the competitive division and another 32-team limit for the novice division.

The first team to 21 and win by two points will be crowned victorious.

Saturday’s competitive division will start at 11 a.m. followed by the novice division start time at 11:30 a.m. at the Wayne County Fairgrounds. Registration for the day of the cornhole tournament will start at 10 a.m.

Prizes in the competitive division (with a full bracket) includes $700 to first place, $200 to runner-up; $100 to third place; $75 to fourth place and $50 to fifth place while prizes will be awarded to the top two teams in the novice division.

Bag will be supplied but can also be brought by meeting the ACL specs.
