OMAHA – A total of 52 northeast Nebraska individuals will be represented during session one of the 2022 NSAA State Track and Field Championships.
From Burke Stadium in Omaha, Wednesday and Thursday, May 18 – 19 will feature Classes A/B competitors.

Wayne High will have seven in action.
Brooklyn Kruse will compete in the discus event to open Wednesday morning starting at 9:30 a.m. and again be in action on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in the shot put.
The WHS girls 4×800-meter relay team of Faith Powicki, Kierah Haase, Jala Krusemark and Kyla Krusemark will open the first running event (being a finals only race) Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Kyla Krusemark will also compete in the 3200-meter run finals around 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday.
On the guys side, Sedjro Agoumba will compete in the 400-meter dash prelims around 4 p.m. while Alex Phelps will be in action during the 300-meter intermediate hurdle prelims around 6 p.m.
Big Red Country ‘KTCH’ 104.9; The City ‘KCTY’ 98.9/1590 and waynedailynews.com will report on Norfolk High for Class A and joining Wayne will be Pierce and West Point-Beemer for Class B.
