CRETE/PALMER – Championship Wednesday is now set following Tuesday results for Class B and C Senior American Legion baseball teams.
Class B teams are playing games in Crete while Class C is in action in Palmer.
Tuesday’s scores in Class B saw Alliance eliminate the host Crete, 7-1 while undefeated Hickman defeated one-loss Columbus Lakeview, 12-6.
The Class B finals are scheduled for 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4 between undefeated Hickman and one-loss Alliance. Hickman defeated Alliance 6-3 on Monday.
From Palmer on Tuesday for Class C, the host PWG eliminated Louisville-Weeping Water, 3-0 while undefeated DCB defeated one-loss SOS, 9-2.
The Class C finals are scheduled for 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 4 featuring undefeated DCB vs. the host PWG. DCB defeated PWG 9-4 on Sunday as both teams also met in the Class C Area 6 Tournament hosted by Ravenna. DCB (Centura) topped PWG (Central Valley) twice by the scores of 12-4 on day three and 18-6 in the finals.
