Class A Divisional Playoff To Showcase A Rematch From Senior Area Championship Game

CREIGHTON – Class A divisional playoff action will be held this weekend between the American Division and National Division champions.

From Creighton Prep High School, Creighton Prep will host Millard South on Saturday, July 30 starting at 2 p.m. for the championship playoff game.

Creighton Prep Five Points Bank also won the Area 1 Tournament which they hosted and defeated Millard South 52’s twice with scores of 8-0 in the winner’s bracket and 14-0 in the finals.

Millard South won the American Division which was hosted by Bellevue East.

Millard South opened their divisional round with a 12-5 win over Gretna, defeated Fremont 17-4, won 9-1 against Elkhorn North and defeated Lincoln East, 3-2 in 13 innings to advance to the finals. Millard South then defeated Elkhorn North a second time by a score of 6-5.


Creighton Prep won the National Division hosted by Lincoln Northeast.

Creighton Prep began their divisional tournament with a 16-3 victory over Millard North, before winning 5-3 over Lincoln Northeast, had a 7-5 win against Millard West and punched their ticket to the championship game by defeating Elkhorn South, 11-9. In the finals, Creighton Prep won 4-2 over Millard West to represent the National Division in the championship playoff.
