Class A/D Area State Wrestling Final Results

OMAHA – Champions were crowned Thursday evening as the final session featured the championship round for the Class A and Class D 2021 NSAA State Wrestling Championships.

From CHI Omaha, a handful of area wrestlers took part in the finals round.

2021 NSAA State Class A and D Day Two 2-18-21

Class D: Plainview was crowned state champs with 110.5 points followed by Palmer and Southwest who both recorded 75 team points and tied for second. Winside placed 12th as a team with 51 points.

Winside finished with a pair of third place finishes Cayden Ellis (120) and Gabe Escalante (145)

GACC: Cash Meier (182) placed third

Pender: Layne Sturek (106) finished fourth

Plainview: Eli Lanham (106) and Scout Ashburn (120) finished as state champs, Keegan Mosel (138) finished runner-up, Alizae Mejia (170) took third and Kyler Mosel (126) finished sixth.

 

Class A: Millard South won Class A with 220.5 points over runner-up North Platte with 136 points…Norfolk High finished fourth with 107.5 points.

Norfolk: Jesse Lewis (106) was crowned a state champion while Joshua Licking (160) and Austin Miller (170) both placed runner-up. Jacob Licking (145) finished fourth.

Class B and C State Wrestling 2-18-21

Class B/C will be in action on Friday and Saturday, February 19 – 20. Class B will wrestle from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Class C from 5 – 9 p.m. on Friday. Moving into the final day for Classes BC on Saturday, Class B will wrestle from 9 a.m. until noon followed by Class C from 1 – 5 p.m. for semifinals, consolation round three, consolation semifinals as well as third and fifth place matches. All Class B/C finals will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday evening.
