LINCOLN – As the remaining half of the championship games were set Friday for the 2021 NSAA Girls State Basketball Tournament, the tourney moves into its final day jam-packed with finals on Saturday.
From the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, all six championships games will be held along with the Class C1 consolation at Lincoln Northeast HS.
Friday northeast Nebraska results saw #5 North Bend Central defeat #8 Winnebago, 60-40. The Indians are right back in action Saturday during the consolation game against #2 Lincoln Lutheran at 9 a.m. who lost to #3 Hastings St. Cecilia, 29-25.
A pair of northeast Nebraska teams will meet Saturday night in the Class C2 finals being #1 Crofton (25-3) and #6 Ponca (21-4). Crofton has defeated #8 Centennial (62-37) and #4 Bridgeport (66-48) while Ponca knocked out #3 GACC (59-45) and ran past #7 BRLD (55-37).
After both teams earned a day off on Friday, the Saturday championship game will begin at 8:45 p.m.

Class A: #1 Lincoln Pius X vs. #3 Fremont at 7 p.m.
