Cedar Catholic Volleyball Takes Care Of Business At Home

HARTINGTON – Following a three-game road stand for the Hartington Cedar Catholic volleyball team, the Trojans were back at home for the first time since September 25.

Boone Central/Newman Grove visited Cedar Catholic Thursday evening.

Hartington Cedar Catholic used the home sweep of 25-15, 25-16, 25-9. Cedar Catholic is now 21-3 on the season while the Cardinals fell to 3-21.

Jada Cattau recorded a double-double with 16 kills and 11 digs as Maddie Wieseler followed with a double-double recording 10 kills and 16 set assists. Abby Hochstein posted eight kills and seven digs. Aiden Wortman added 15 assists with Megan Heimes pacing Cedar Catholic in the dig department with 20.

Brianna Miller and Wieseler both tallied three service aces, two each from Heimes and Hochstein as well as one by Wortman.

Hartington Cedar Catholic will next visit Wayne for a road triangular along with O’Neill on Tuesday, October 16.
