LAUREL – The Hartington Cedar Catholic volleyball team closed out the final half of September and early October playing seven volleyball matches, with only one at home. HCC was back on the road Tuesday evening.
From Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Schools, LCC entertained the Trojans.
HCC won the opening sets by the same score of 25-21, 25-21 before pulling away in the third set (25-12) for the road sweep. Cedar Catholic improves to 20-3 on the season as the Bears fell to 9-9.
Maddie Wieseler recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 19 set assists to go along with nine digs while Jada Cattau added 10 kills and six digs. Aiden Wortman posted 15 assists and eight digs as Megan Heimes paced HCC in the dig department with 10. Brianna Miller posted six digs and four service aces as Abby Hochstein tacked on five kills, seven digs and two aces.
Hartington Cedar Catholic will host their final regular season home match of the season when Boone Central/Newman Grove is in town on Thursday, October 11. LCC will visit Winnebago on Thursday.
