Brahmer Receives All-NSIC Second Team Honors Back-To-Back Years

WAYNE – As the Wayne State College volleyball team prepares for the 2018 NSIC Volleyball Tournament in early November, one member of the team has been named All-NSIC.

Sophomore Jaci Brahmer earned All-NSIC Second team honors for the second straight season following a release from the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota Thursday.

Brahmer has started all 28 matches this season for the Wildcats and has played in all but one set. She averages 2.32 kills and leads the NSIC in blocks per set at 1.20 while leading the Wildcats with a .318 attack percentage. Brahmer has one double-double this season, recording 14 kills and 10 blocks vs. #19 Central Oklahoma on September 1st.  She also had 10 blocks in a 3-2 win over Upper Iowa on October 27th and matched her career-high of 14 kills in a 3-0 win at Augustana on September 11th.

Brahmer has recorded at least one block in every Wildcat match this season and has seven matches with 10 or more kills.

Wayne State College will close out their regular season Saturday at 2 p.m. taking on #6 Concordia-St. Paul on the road.
