Boys Town Ends Early Season Winning Streak For Wayne

BOYS TOWN – The Wayne High boys closed out their pre-Christmas schedule with another road game in the month of December.

From Boys Town High School, WHS visited the Cowboys with the moratorium break approaching this weekend.

Boys Town snapped the three-game road winning streak with a 67-54 win over WHS. The Cowboys are now 5-3 as Wayne High fell to 4-3.

Shea Sweetland paced the Blue Devils in scoring with 17 points as Marcus Fertig followed with 10 points.

Boys Town will be off until they visit Bishop Neumann on January 4. Wayne High will next compete in the 2018 Great Northeast Nebraska Shootout – Wayne Holiday Tournament from Thursday, December 27 – Saturday, December 29. WHS will face Gordon-Rushville at 8:30 p.m.
