COLUMBUS – Following a home triangular on Thursday, the Wayne High wrestling program took to the road Friday for their first invitational of the season.
From Columbus Lakeview High School, Wayne High joined 12 teams.
WHS finished fourth with 109 points as a team.
Host, Columbus Lakeview won the invite with 209 points, followed by Raymond Central with 165.5 points and East Butler took third with 132 points.
Individually, runner-up finishes came from Will Leseberg (106), Alex Frank (113), Ashton Munsell (138) and Martin Carillo (195). Aiden Liston (170) placed third, Eli Barner (145) and Dakota Spann (182) both took fifth as Logan Schafer (285) finished sixth.
In the girls tournament, Wayne High scored nine points from Jaycee Bruns (132) who finished first while Liberty Titiml (152) placed second. The host, Columbus Lakeview won the girls bracket with 38 points.
The Wayne High girls and boys wrestling programs will next visit Norfolk Catholic on Thursday, December 9 for a road dual starting at 7 p.m.
