ALBION – After coming up a ½ point shy from a place second at their own invite this past weekend, the Wayne High wrestlers took part in a pre-holiday break triangular.
From Boone Central/Newman Grove High School in Albion, WHS joined Plainview for the triangular.
From the opening match with the host Cardinals, Boone Central/Newman Grove defeated Wayne 52-21.
Matches won by Wayne came from Mike Leatherdale (285) winning by fall over Dalton Rasmussen (3:40), Reece Jaqua (126) won by fall over Christopher Thiem (1:49), Cameron Muhs (132) won by decision (7-2) over Tyson Haddix and Juan Vergara (138) won by fall over Michael Brengelman (1:02).
