WAYNE – High school winter sports across Nebraska begin this week into the weekend as the Wayne High wrestling program will take to the mat for a pair of outings in back-to-back days.
First from Orchard High School, WHS will join the host Summerland (Clearwater, Ewing and Orchard) and Wisner-Pilger during a triangular on Thursday, December 3. The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
The Wayne High wrestling program will then take part in the Columbus Lakeview Invite on Friday, December 4 starting at 2 p.m. Moving into next week, the Blue Devils will host Norfolk Catholic during a dual at 7 p.m. Other competition on the Wayne High wrestling schedule in the month includes the Stanton Invite on Saturday, December 12 at 9:30 a.m. and Wayne Invite on Saturday, December 19 at 9 a.m.
An area high school wrestling program will showcase the Wakefield Trojans at the Pender Pendragons Thursday evening. The dual will start at 7 p.m.
