NORFOLK/BATTLE CREEK – With the Mid State Conference volleyball tournament bracket being released Friday, the Wayne High volleyball team will close out their regular season Thursday evening.
WHS has won 11-straight to now sit 19-7 on the season and will be in Battle Creek on Thursday, October 15. The Bravettes enter 18-6. The freshman/sophomore match will open the evening at 5:30 p.m.; followed by JV competition at 6:15 p.m. and the varsity teams will take to the court around 7:30 p.m.
Battle Creek has dropped two straight after being swept on the road by O’Neill Monday and a four-set home loss to Norfolk Catholic last Thursday. WHS recently swept Crofton last Thursday and haven’t dropped a set since a 2-1 victory over Chambers/Wheeler Central during the Wisner-Pilger September Classic on September 26. The Blue Devils have gone 24-1 in sets played during their winning streak.
