NORFOLK – Members with the Wayne High volleyball team will look to snap a two-match losing streak on the road this week as they’ll also take part in a road triangular and road weekend tourney.
The Blue Devils recently went 1-2 in pool play during the Seward Tournament this past weekend to now sit 8-6 (a correction from previously posted). Wayne High will next visit Norfolk Catholic on Tuesday, September 22.
The Knights are 7-2 on the season and recently had a road triangular at Boone Central with Stanton canceled last Thursday. Norfolk Catholic was last on the court during a five-set victory at Hartington Cedar Catholic on September 15.
Last year, Wayne High won a four-set match over Norfolk Catholic in Wayne on September 24 of 2019.
Tuesday night matches will begin at 5:30 p.m. for the freshman/sophomore teams, followed by a 6:30 start time during the JV game and the varsity teams are scheduled to start around 7:30 p.m.
Wayne High will also compete in the O’Neill Triangular with Cedar Catholic on Thursday, September 24. The Blue Devils will then close out the week competing in the Wisner-Pilger September Classic on Saturday, September 26.
