Head Blue Devil girls golf coach Josh Johnson said, “I am extremely proud of how these girls keep working hard and keep improving. They are getting better with every practice and every meet. Today (Saturday) was really tough with the heat and the girls were pretty tired after a long week of golf and homecoming events. They came to play and battled their way to a great score.”

Following Wayne’s 384 was Columbus Scotus in second (391), Columbus Lakeview took third (394), Pierce placed fourth (399) and O’Neill rounded out the top five teams with a 402.

The Wayne High girls golf team will next compete in the Hartington Cedar Catholic Invite on Monday, September 19 starting at 9 a.m. from the Hartington Country Club. WHS will also host the Richard Metteer Invite on Thursday, September 22 from the Wayne Country Club.
