Blue Devil Girls, Boys To Host Separate Games Before Going On Road Later This Week

WAYNE – Following an 0-3 performance during the Wayne Holiday Tournament last week, the Blue Devil girls will be looking to get out of a slump as they play their first game of the New Year this week.

Wayne High is 4-6 on the season and are on a current four-game losing streak after falling in the seventh place game to Auburn, 54-45. The Blue Devils are set to host an 8-2 GACC team Monday night at 7:30 p.m. The JV game has been moved back to start now at 6:30 p.m. and play two quarters.

The Bluejays recently defeated David City Aquinas Catholic Saturday, 58-29.

The Blue Devil boys (5-5) will host Boys Town on Tuesday, January 7 this week at 7 p.m.

Later this week, the Wayne High girls will visit Pierce on Friday, January 10 and then join the boys team at Boone Central/Newman Grove on Saturday, January 11 at 3:45/5:30 p.m.

Justin Raulston will have the call of Wayne High boys at Norfolk Catholic on Thursday, January 9 at 7:30 p.m. and then on Friday, January 10 for WHS girls at Pierce at 7:45 p.m. Both games will be carried on Big Red Country ‘KTCH’ 104.9 and waynedailynews.com.
