Blue Devil Football To Visit Ranked West Point-Beemer Team, Trojan Football Set For Road Opener

WEST POINT/WISNER – A pair of ranked northeast Nebraska high school football teams will take to the road and look to improve on each of their 1-0 starts.

Wayne High is #2 in the Omaha World Herald and #3 in the Lincoln Journal Star as the Blue Devils will visit #9 (LJS) 1-0 West Point-Beemer on Friday, September 4 at 7 p.m. Then, Class D1 Wakefield is #8 in the OWH and #9 in the LJS as they travel to 0-1 Wisner-Pilger also at 7 p.m.

Last Friday, Wayne High used a rushing touchdown early in the third quarter and tightened up their defense late for a 14-10 road victory at Logan View/Scribner-Snyder. Wakefield scored twice in the second half to break a 22 all tie hosting GACC enroute to a 36-22 home victory over the Bluejays last Thursday.
