COLUMBUS – After opening with back-to-back Friday night home games, the Wayne High football team will take to the road for two straight road outings.
Starting this with a Friday, September 10 showdown, Wayne High will visit Columbus Lakeview at 7 p.m. before traveling to Ashland-Greenwood on Friday, September 17.
The Vikings moved up a spot to #4 in the Lincoln Journal Star and remained #3 in the Omaha Herald this past week.
The Blue Devils are coming off a 40-20 homecoming victory over West Point-Beemer last Friday while also beginning the season with a 34-6 win against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.
For Columbus Lakeview, the Vikings played the defending C1 champs of #1 Pierce to the very end but fell short on a 28-27 final while opening with a home victory over Boys Town of 37-6.
