COLUMBUS – Several area golfers will be in action during week day state tournament competition on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 25 – 26.
From Elks Country Club in Columbus, the Class B 2021 NSAA Boys Golf Championships will get underway at 9 a.m.
Wayne’s Bo Armstrong will tee off on the front nine at 9:10 a.m. while teammate Tanner Walling will also begin on hole one starting at 9:30 a.m.
Other northeast Nebraska class B competitors include Pierce golfers Abram Scholting, (hole one at 9 a.m.); Hunter Raabe (hole one at 9:20 a.m.); Travis Emory (hole 10 at 10:10 a.m.); Tyler Race (hole 10 at 10:20 a.m.) and Chaden Roth (hole one at 10:30 a.m.).
Class C State Golf will be held at the Kearney Country Club.
They include Tri County Northeast’s Garrett Blanke (hole one at 9:10 a.m.) and Nathan Oswald (hole one at 9:20 a.m.); Hartington Cedar Catholic’s Cazden Christensen (hole 10 at 9:10 a.m.), Jay Steffen (hole one at 9:20 a.m.), Mack Kuehn (hole one at 10 a.m.), Carsen Becker (hole 10 at 10:10) a.m. and Riley Kuehn (hole one at 10:50 a.m.); Battle Creek’s Caleb Lindgren (hole 10 at 9:10 a.m.), Tait Heimes (hole 10 at 9:20 a.m.), Luke Beckman (hole 10 at 9:30 a.m.), Garrett Finke (hole 10 at 9:40 a.m.) and Payton Frederick (hole one at 10 a.m.); Wisner-Pilger’s Rockney Peck (hole one at 10:30 a.m.) and Guardian Angel Central Catholic’s Livia Hunke (hole one at 9 a.m.).
Class D State Golf will take place from Lake Maloney Golf Club in North Platte.
Area golfers include Hartington-Newcastle’s Reece Morten (hole 10 at 9:09 a.m.), Turner Dendinger (hole 10 at 9:18 a.m.), Dayton Sudbeck (hole 10 at 9:36 a.m.), Carson Jones (hole 10 at 10:21 a.m.) and Riley Sudbeck (hole 10 at 10:39 a.m.); Randolph’s Collyn Beal (hole one at 9:27 a.m.), Tyson Junck (hole 10 at 9:45 a.m.), Bryson Eledge (hole 10 at 9:54 a.m.), Brayden Shearer (hole 10 at 10:12 a.m.) and Tristan Mosel (hole 10 at 10:39 a.m.) along with Pender’s Trey Johnson (hole one 10:12 a.m.).
Class A will begin also on Tuesday at the Norfolk Country Club. Norfolk High golfers include Isaac Heimes (hole one at 10 a.m.) and Carson Klein (hole 10 at 10:10 a.m.).
Day two pairings will be posted at the conclusion of Tuesday’s play.
