Blue Devil Basketball In Search Of First Win Early In 2019-20 Season

LOGAN VIEW – After a pair of 0-2 starts for the Wayne High girls and boys basketball teams this past weekend, WHS will take to the road Tuesday evening.

From Logan View high school (2163 County Road G), the Blue Devils will visit Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.

Catch the broadcast of varsity basketball on Big Red Country ‘KTCH’ 104.9 and waynedailynews.com. Pregame coverage is set for 5:45 p.m. as the girls varsity contest will tipoff around 6 p.m. and the boys to follow.

In the girls showdown, Wayne High has lost games to Battle Creek (64-59) and at Ponca (55-32) while the Raiders are 1-1 with a road loss to Oakland-Craig (64-24) and a road win at Twin River (50-18).

Last year, The Blue Devil girls defeated Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (72-43) in Wayne.

 

From the boys contest, WHS lost to Battle Creek (57-49) in Wayne and at Ponca (58-40) while LV/SS won both their road contests at Oakland-Craig (47-38) and Twin River (47-30).

A year ago, the Raiders topped Wayne High 44-41.
