Black/Gold Wayne State Volleyball Scrimmage Set For Tuesday Evening

WAYNE – After not being able to compete in the fall, members with the Wayne State College volleyball program will hold a team scrimmage this week.

According to a release from the Wayne State Athletics office, the ‘Black & Gold’ scrimmage will take place on Tuesday, October 13 from Rice Auditorium on the campus of Wayne State College. First set will begin at 7 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. Fans will be required to wear masks and follow all current CDC protocols and guidelines. Limited concessions will also be available.

The Wildcat volleyball team ended the 2019 season ranked 13th in the final AVCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll. It marked the 11th time in the last 14 years that WSC ended the year with a top 25 national ranking. Wayne State College finished the 2019 season with records of 24-7 overall and placed fifth in the NSIC with a 14-6 league mark.

Again, masks will be required to attend Tuesday night’s scrimmage and fans will be asked to sit in family groups and social distance from other groups of people.
