BLAIR – A pair of sub 80s from Elkhorn North dominated the Class B-2 District Girls Golf Tourney where a northeast Nebraska individual qualified as well.
From River Wilds Golf Course, Blair hosted the district competition.
State qualifying teams were Elkhorn North who won the B-2 District with a 367; followed by Omaha Duchesne Academy in runner-up with a 368 and Blair shot a 408 to place third.
Wayne’s Natalie Bentjen finished ninth shooting a 97 qualifying for state. Elkhorn North golfers Emily Karmazin shot a 77 and Julia Karmazin finished with a 79 at first and second. Riley Haschke finished with a 118 while Trinity Surber shot a 162 for Wayne.
Other team scores came from Omaha Skutt Catholic (fourth – 419); Bennington (fifth – 424) and Elkhorn (sixth – 450) while Wayne and South Sioux City had individual golfers.
The Class B NSAA Girls State Golf Tournament will be held in Gering at Monument Shadows Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday, October 12 – 13. Class A site will be the Norfolk Country Club and the Class C site will be the Elks Country Club in Columbus.
