LINCOLN –As final locations and game times were still being finalized Friday afternoon, NSAA officials posted the district basketball pairings for Class C1-D2 girls varsity contests.
Several area teams have either qualified as subdistrict champions or some via wildcard. District final outings are set for Friday, February 28.
In Class C1, #13 Norfolk Catholic will face #3 North Bend Central in The C1-3 district final from Wisner-Pilger High School at 7 p.m. while #10 West Point-Beemer will face #7 Milford (wild) in the C1-7 district from Fremont High School at 8 p.m.
In Class C2, #1 Oakland-Craig will face #16 Wood River in the C2-1 district from Columbus High School at 7 p.m.; #2 Crofton will face #15 Freeman in the C2-2 district from Central Community College in Columbus at 7 p.m.; #4 GACC will face #13 Clarkson-Leigh in the C2-4 district from Fremont High School at 5:30 p.m. ; #5 Ponca (wild) will face #12 Lourdes Central Catholic in the C2-5 district final from Logan View High School at 7 p.m. and #8 BRLD (wild) will face #9 South Loup (Callaway/Arnold) in the C2-8 district from York High School at 7 p.m.
Grand Island Central Catholic and North Central received the two other wildcards in Class C2.
In Class D1, #14 Laurel-Concord-Coleridge will face #3 Pleasanton in the D1-3 district from O’Neill High School at 7 p.m.; #13 Hartington Cedar Catholic will face #4 Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family (wild) in the D1-4 district final from Norfolk High School at 7 p.m. and #7 Pender (wild) will face #10 Cambridge in the D1-7 district from Grand Island Northwest High School at 6 p.m.
North Platte St. Patrick’s and Dundy County-Stratton received the two other wildcards in Class D1.
In Class D2, #4 Wynot will face #13 Crawford in the D2-4 district from Valentine High School at 5:30 p.m. and #15 Bloomfield will face #2 Humphrey St. Francis in the D2-2 district from Pierce High School at 7 p.m.
