WAYNE/ALBION – Senior American Legion baseball teams across the state are slated for state tournament action Saturday, July 28 – Wednesday, August 1.
In northeast Nebraska, the Class B State Tournament is hosted by Wayne and will be played at Hank Overin Field.
More work is needed to be done on the diamond, so first pitch for Game #1 of Class B Senior State Tournament action will start at 3 p.m. for Alliance vs. Hickman. Bennington will take on McCook at 5:30 p.m.; Wayne vs. Lincoln Lutheran at 8 p.m. and Wahoo vs. Springfield at 10:30 p.m.

Class C State Tournament action will be played at Leon Nelson Memorial Field in Albion.
There has been no post about Class C games being postponed.
Saturday games will be Gordon-Rushville vs. Creighton at 11 a.m.; David City vs. Alma at 2 p.m.; Pender vs. Centura at 5 p.m. and the host, Albion vs. Wilber at 8 p.m.
Class A Legion State Baseball will also be played this weekend through next Wednesday. Juniors will play their games at Omaha Burke; Senior American Division will be in Elkhorn while Columbus is the host for the Senior National Division.
