WAYNE – Make sure the save the dates of April 15 – 17 for in-person registration for several summer activities.
According to a release from the Wayne Community Activity Center, from swim lessons and swim team, park/rec jungle, rec baseball/softball, summer club, art camp and summer reading program there’ll be plenty going on for the youth.
In-person registration dates at the Community Activity Center gym will take place from 4 – 6 p.m. each day for Thursday, April 15 and Friday, April 16 as well as 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, April 17.
Swim lessons will be offered in three sessions (June 7 – 16; June 21 – 30; July 12 – 21) while a parent/child session will be held from June 21 – 26 along with private lessons being scheduled. Swim team is offered to those ages 8 – 18 as of June 1, 2021 and will last from June 1 – July 25.
Park/Rec Jungle will offer two sessions (June 14 – 18;June 28 – July 2); summer club is Monday through Friday all day for ages kindergarten – 5th grade; summer reading program is July 6 – August 11 (contact the Wayne Public Library at 402-375-3135 for details) and Art Camp will take place during three sessions (June 7 – 11; June 21 – 25; July 5 – 9).
Also, tentative dates for rec baseball/softball will be June 21 – July 23 for ages five and six (t-ball) and ages 7 – 9 for coach pitch.
