Activity Center Offering 3V3 Outdoor Basketball Tournament, Deadline To Register Is July 5

WAYNE – Registration deadline is approaching for the inaugural 3v3 outdoor basketball tournament during the Wayne Chicken Show next weekend.

According to a release from the Wayne Community Activity Center, the Saturday, July 10 tournament will be broken down into three divisions of high school girls and boys (9 – 12th), junior high school girls and boys (6 – 8th) and college women’s and men’s.

A maximum of five players per team must be registered by Monday, July 5 as a schedule will be emailed out prior to the games being played. The 3v3 outdoor basketball tournament will take place from the College Hill Park Versa Courts near the bowling alley.

College games will begin at 3 p.m., followed by junior high at 5 p.m. and high school at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 10. Cost is $30 per team.

The Wayne Community Activity Center and Aquatic Center will have modified hours for this weekend. On Sunday, July 4, the Aquatic Center is open from 1 – 5 p.m. with no evening swim while the CAC is open from 12:30 – 5 p.m. On Monday, July 5, the Aquatic Center is open for their regular hours besides no 6 – 7 a.m. lap swim while the CAC will be open from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m.
