WAYNE – The third straight home match concluded Saturday afternoon for #8 Wayne State College.
From Rice Auditorium on the campus of Wayne State College, WSC welcomed in Bemidji State University.
#8 Wayne State College swept BSU (25-14, 25-12, 25-11) to improve to 10-2 (4-1 NSIC) while the Beavers fell to 0-13 (0-5 NSIC).
Double double performances came from Kelsie Cada with a team-high 12 kills as well as 14 digs and a block while Rachel Walker posted a team-high 32 set assists to go along with 10 digs, five blocks (one solo) and a kill. Jessie Brandl also had 10 digs.
Jazlin De Haan finished with eight kills, a block and a dig, Maggie Brahmer had seven kills and four blocks (one solo), Taya Beller tacked on six kills, seven blocks (two solo) and a dig, Elly Larson added three kills and two blocks, Alaina Wolff tallied six digs and a kill as Kalli Kroecker had a kill. Jordan McCormick totaled seven digs, Lauren Jacobsen had four digs as Brooke Peltz had a dig.
Jacobsen recorded two service aces while McCormick and Wolff both had one ace.
Wayne State College dominated at the net with a .371 hit percentage compared to a -.009 for Bemidji State University.
#8 Wayne State College will next make the trek north to University of Mary and Minot State on Friday and Saturday, October 1 – 2.
