WAYNE/MANKATO, MN – Wildcat fans wanting to follow postseason action or attend NCAA competition will have several chances.

The Wildcat Sports Network will carry NCAA Central Region Wayne State College volleyball on The City ‘KCTY’ 98.9/1590 while Super Region 4 football playoff coverage will be heard on Big Red Country ‘KTCH’ 104.9 and

The 2022 NCAA Central Region Volleyball Tournament at Rice Auditorium will take place from Friday, November 18 – Sunday, November 20.

#2 Wayne State College, top-seed in region (29-2) will open with #24 Harding of Arkansas, #8 seed (30-1) at 7:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to ‘Be Bold. Wear Gold.’

Since this is an NCAA Championship event, WSC Season tickets are not valid – all patrons will need to purchase a ticket for the game(s); patrons are encouraged to purchase their tickets online but will be able to purchase tickets at the door and each patron only needs one ticket per day, as the one ticket gets a patron into all the games for that day but according to Wayne State Athletics, if a person leaves Rice Auditorium, they would need to purchase another ticket to get back in.

Tickets for the event are $12 for adults, $6 for seniors and $3 for students and will be available at the door.

On Friday, Nov. 18, and Saturday, Nov. 19, the Rice Club Room will not be available for fan viewing, as it is needed for coaches, administration, media, etc.

Also, the first 500 Wayne State College students each day will get in free as the student entrance will open one hour before each WSC match.

Match 2: No. 2 (#3) Concordia-St. Paul (26-5) vs. No. 7 (#13) Nebraska-Kearney (28-5) | 2:30 pm
Match 3: No. 4 (#12) Northwest Missouri State (24-6) vs. No. 5 (#7) St. Cloud State (26-5) | 5 pm

Match 4: No. 1 (#2) Wayne State (Nebraska) (29-2) vs. No. 8 (#24) Harding (30-1) | 7:30 pm

Saturday, November 19:

Match 1 Winner vs. Match 2 Winner | 5 pm

Match 3 Winner vs. Match 4 Winner | 7:30 pm

Sunday, November 20

Central Regional Championship Match (Teams TBD) | 4 pm

(The winner of the Central Regional will advance as one of the Final 8 teams in the D2 Volleyball Championship, which is hosted in Seattle, WA from Dec. 1-3.).

#6 seed Wayne State College (#23 Top 25 Media Poll) is 9-2 on the season and receiving votes just outside the AFCA Top 25 Coaches Poll while #3 seed Minnesota State-Mankato, rated #19 in AFCA (#13 is also 9-2.
Kickoff will be at noon on Saturday, November 19.
The two teams met in the regular season with Wayne State outscoring MSU in Wayne 41-33 on October 8 during homecoming.
