#1/#4 Wayne High Welcomes In Columbus Lakeview During Parent’s Night Game

WAYNE – After securing a pair of road victories to open 2020, the Wayne High football team will begin a series of home games over the next two weeks.

From Bob Cunningham Field on the campus of Wayne State College, WHS will welcome in Columbus Lakeview. The Blue Devils moved up to #1 in the Omaha World Herald and fell back a spot to #4 in the Lincoln Journal Star as they’re 2-0 on the season following road wins at Logan View/Scribner-Snyder of 14-10 and previously ranked West Point-Beemer, 35-19 last week.

The Vikings fell from the #10 spot in the Lincoln Journal Star after dropping to #3 Pierce, 41-21 last week. Columbus Lakeview opened their season with a 62-0 victory over Boys Town.

Last season, Wayne High topped Columbus Lakeview 30-28 in Wayne. The Vikings won last on their home field in 2018, by the score of 27-6 over the Blue Devils.

Pregame coverage is set for 6:40 p.m. with kickoff slated for around 7 p.m. It is also parent’s night for the football team as parents should be at Memorial Stadium on the campus of Wayne State College by 6:15 p.m. as they’ll be introduced prior to the game at 6:30 p.m.
