PENDER – A pair of northeast Nebraska volleyball teams took to the court Monday night.
From Pender high school, the Pendragons entertained Winside.
Winside took care of business in the opening two sets (25-15, 25-16) while Pender kept it close in the third but fell 23-25. Winside has now won five straight to improve to 12-4 while the Pendragons fell to 3-12.
Andi Bargstadt recorded nine kills and nine digs to go along with a team-high five service aces while Brooklyn Behmer added nine kills, nine set assists and five digs for Winside. McKenna Russell added 21 set assists, five digs and three service aces as Kati Topp finished with six kills, three digs and a team-high three solo blocks.
Winside will be off until Thursday when they visit Winnebago and as mentioned before Pender will host Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family tonight.
