WAYNE – Wayne State College COVID-19 total positives surpassed the 100-case mark earlier this week.
According to a weekly release from WSC, the positive numbers jumped from 62 to 105 from September 21 to Monday, September 28 but the active positive cases only rose by one. There are now 29 active positive cases at Wayne State College.
The campus is reporting data each week to keep the community informed about the total number of positive cases for employees and students, the number of recovered cases and the number of active positive cases. College officials are wanting everyone to follow all guidelines and requirements regarding to the four pillars of hygiene, masks, social distancing and self-screening.
The number of recovered cases also grew by 42 to a total of 76 students who contracted COVID-19 of the 105 total positive cases now recovered.
Numbers being reported include overall cases since August 14.
