WAYNE – As the Fall 2020 Planetarium and Laser shows come to an end in the month of November, there’s still plenty of chances to join in on the fun.
According to a release from Wayne State College, the ‘Kids Weekend’ continues Friday and Saturday, November 6-7.
Tonight’s Planetarium show is ‘Rusty Rocket’ at 7 p.m. and Saturday’s is ‘Animals of the Sky’ at 1 p.m.The Fred G. Dale Planetarium is located in the lower level of the Carhart Science Building on the campus of Wayne State College.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, seating will be limited to a maximum of 25 people. Everyone is required to wear a mask. (If you don’t have one, one will be provided.)
Visit www.wsc.edu/planetarium for the detailed show schedule and how to book a private group showing. The suggested donation for all shows is $5 for adults and $3 for kids as all donations are appreciated.
Doors open 20 minutes prior to the start of a show as Planetarium shows generally include a tour of the current night sky, a view of the constellations and a fulldome video. All shows last about 45 minutes.
Other WSC Planetarium events in November include Planetarium shows on Friday, November 13 with ‘Dawn of the Space Age’; Saturday, November 14 ‘Flight Adventures’; Friday, November 20 ‘Tales of the Mayan Skies’ and Saturday, November 21 ‘The Sky We Don’t See’. Laser shows over the next two weekends will include ‘Laser 60s’ on November 13; ‘Laser Fun’ on November 14; ‘Laser Classic Rock’ on November 20 and ‘Laser Pink Floyd’ on November 21.
All Planetarium shows are at 7 p.m. and 1 p.m. as well as Laser shows at 8 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Friday’s and Saturday’s
