WSC Fred G. Dale Planetarium To Offer Educational Shows From Home; Next Show Is ‘Dinosaurs At Dusk’

WAYNE – Special planetarium showings will be held through the month of April during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a release from WSC Planetarium Director, Dr. Todd Young, a line-up of shows has been available for everyone to watch from the comfort of their home.

The Fred G. Dale Planetarium at Wayne State College offers a link to special planetarium shows that you can watch on your computer, smartphone or other similar devices.

The “Dinosaurs at Dusk” planetarium show began this past Friday, April 17 and will go through Thursday, April 23. The final scheduled show is “Faster Than Light” from Friday, April 24 – Thursday, April 30.

For parents and educators, each show will also include a link with an educator’s guide so you can use these special shows for more than just entertainment if you wish.

The planetarium will open its doors as soon as social gatherings are allowed again.
