WHS Brings Back 15 Superior Ratings, One Outstanding Performance Award During District Music Contest

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE – Students from Wayne High put their vocal and instrumental skills to the test this past weekend during the District Music Contest.

From South Sioux City High School, WHS had 15 vocal entries returning with 15 Superior Ratings to go along with an Outstanding Performance Award.

Wayne Community Schools would like to congratulate the following vocal and choir students on a very successful District Music Contest on Friday, April 12.

Results:

Concert Choir – Superior Rating

Treble Choir (formerly girls chorus or girls glee) – Superior Rating

Bass Choir (formerly boys chorus or boys glee) – Superior Rating

Jazz Choir – Superior Rating

Small Ensemble 1 (Makayla Heithold, Darrian Hewitt, Allison Claussen, Symphony Jareske, Kaden Kneifl, Micah Caron, Drew Buck, and Terran Sievers) – Superior Rating

Small Ensemble 2 (Brooklyn Bierbower, Andi Belt, Catherine Archer, Natalie Bentjen, Audrey Loggins) – Superior Rating

Quartet (Dylan Anderson, Jacob Kneifl, Christopher Woerdemann, and Treyton Blecke) – Superior Rating and Outstanding Performance Award

Later this month Wayne Community Schools will be holding their final high school concert along with parents night and awards on Tuesday, April 30 at 7 p.m.
