Weekend COVID-19 Positive Results In NNPHD Health District

WAYNE – Health officials reported 19 new COVID-19 positive cases in the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District over the past three days.

According to a release from NNPHD, the weekend patients (Friday – Sunday) were from Dixon (two), Thurston (12) and Wayne (five) counties. The residents are 11 males and eight females ranging in age of less than 10, 10 – 19, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s.

As of Sunday evening, there have been 1,146 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties. The results of these tests are 191 positive cases (Cedar – 8, Dixon – 35, Thurston – 123 and Wayne county – 25), 908 negatives and 47 tests currently pending results.

As far as any cases, when NNPHD releases someone from isolation the health department no longer follows them to see how they are doing as the report from the health department does not include number of hospitalizations or recoveries.
