WAYNE – Health officials with the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department reported nine new COVID-19 positive cases over the weekend.
According to a release from NNPHD, four were from Cedar county, three from Dixon county and two from Thurston county. There were also 23 negative results and another 20 recoveries from Friday through Monday.
As of Monday evening, there have been 1,421 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties. The results of these tests are 265 positive cases (Cedar – 17, Dixon – 53, Thurston – 168 and Wayne county – 27) and 1,103 negative tests. Again, there were 20 recoveries bringing the total to 147.
NNPHD Health officials are also working on a reporting process for hospitalizations and deaths.
