WAYNE – The field of 64-teams has been narrowed down to 56 as week one of the KTCH Quiz Bowl is in the books.
Week one scores saw: Logan View defeat Humphrey St. Francis (1-0), Bloomfield defeat GACC (3-2), Wisner-Pilger defeat Neligh-Oakdale (1-0), Allen defeat West Point-Beemer (2-1), Elgin defeat Pierce (1-0), Verdigre defeat Leigh (2-1), Osceola defeat Oakland-Craig (2-1) and Madison defeat Aquinas (2-0).
All matches can be heard on Big Red Country ‘KTCH’ 104.9 and waynedailynews.com.
With some schedule changes to the original format, week two’s schedule is below.
Monday, January 13: Winside vs. Norfolk High at 9:30 a.m. and St. Mary’s vs. Newman Grove at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday, January 14: Orchard v. Wahoo at 9:30 a.m.
Wednesday, January 15: Hartington Cedar Catholic vs. Arlington at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, January 16: Scribner-Snyder vs. Emerson-Hubbard at 9:30 a.m. and South Sioux City vs. Crofton at 10:30 a.m.
Friday, January 17: Wayne vs. Plainview at 9:30 a.m. and Pope John vs. West Holt at 10:30 a.m.
