WAYNE – After kicking off the homecoming week festivities Monday with Class Color Day and a Community Spirit Fair which featured an “Amazing Race” event, activities continue throughout the week.
This year’s theme is “Dare to Roar” with activities going through Sunday’s home women’s soccer game with Minnesota Duluth at Noon.
Inflatables and yard games are scheduled to be in the Willow Bowl Tuesday from 3 – 6 p.m. with an All-Campus Homecoming Picnic taking place between 5 – 7 p.m.
Wednesday activities include the “Nearly Naked Mile” at 7 p.m., a pep rally in Ramsey Theatre at 8:45 p.m. and a hypnotist performing at 9 p.m.
On Thursday, a scholarship luncheon will be held in the Student Center at 11:30 a.m., a WSC Alumni/Employee Appreciation Social between 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., Willy Olympics at 4 p.m. on the Bowen Hall lawn and Mr. WSC at 8:30 p.m. back at Ramsey Theatre.
Friday will feature a busy day with evening activities being Greek Olympics at 5 p.m. in the Willow Bowl, an Outstanding Alumni Social and Banquet at 5:30 p.m. and Homecoming Coronation at 8:30 p.m. in Ramsey Theatre.
Also, throughout Friday there’ll be a Trustee Workshop (10 – 11:30 a.m.), Annual Trustee Meeting (1:30 – 3 p.m.), a WSC women’s soccer game versus St. Cloud State at 3 p.m., a WSC Faculty Art Show from 3:30 – 5 p.m., Carhart Math and Science Alumni Reunion and Criminal Justice CSI Facility Open House (3 -5 p.m. each) as well as Planetarium shows at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The Homecoming Parade will kickoff Saturday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. down Main Street with Band Day to follow in the Willow Bowl. The WSC cross country team will host the Wildcat Classic starting at 9:30 a.m., Wildcat home football versus Bemidji State at 1 p.m. as well as the Homecoming and Hall of Fame Social and Banquet at 5:30 p.m.
Other Saturday events include Anderson Hall Open House (10 a.m. – 12 p.m.), President’s Society and Honored Classes Brunch (10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.), Gold Club Tailgate Party and Wildcat Tailgate Party at Noon, Homecoming Royalty introduced at 12:30 p.m., Navigator Reunion (3:30 – 6 p.m.), Kappa Kappa Psi Reunion Banquet at 6 p.m. as well as Planetarium Shows at 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
