Wayne State Active Positive COVID Cases, Individuals Returning To Campus See Increase

WAYNE – From November 2 – November 9, Wayne State College has surpassed the 200 positive case total of COVID-19 but continue to see a rise in those who returned to campus.

According to a release from WSC on Monday, November 9, the total positives since August 14 is now at 239, 51 higher than the previous week.

The active positive cases rose from 16 to 36 while another number which saw an increase was another 31 people have returned to campus, bringing that total to 203.

College officials are continuing to ask everyone to follow all guidelines and requirements regarding the four pillars of hygiene, masks, social distancing and self-screening.

Madison Midtown Health Center (222 Main Street): Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3 – 5 p.m.

Norfolk Faith Regional East Campus (1500 Koenigstein Ave.): Tuesday from 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. and Wednesday from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m.

Norfolk Xpress Care Clinic (210 South Third St.): Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 – 10 a.m.

O’Neill Armory (635 North 4th St.): Monday – Thursday from 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.

Wakefield Salem Lutheran Church (411 Winter St.): Monday from 3 until 5 p.m.

Wayne Family Medical Clinic (615 East 14th Street): Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until noon.

West Point Franciscan Care Services (430 North Monitor Street): Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. until noon.
