Wayne Speech Results During WHS/WSC Classic

WAYNE – High school speech competitors took over the Wayne State College campus during Saturday’s inaugural Wayne High/WSC Speech Classic.

Wayne High placed sixth out of 22 teams during the invitational.

Christopher Woerdemann was named meet champion in Extemporaneous as Liam Spieker earned runner-up in Entertainment.

Other Wayne speech members who placed were the Oral Interpretation of Drama team Walker Hochstein, Dylan Anderson, Spieker, Woerdemann and Isaac Davis (third); Madi Hamik (seventh – Persuasive) and Kaden Hopkins (11th – Humorous Prose).

WHS speech and drama club members would like to thank all the volunteers who assisted with the meet and made it a success. The group would also like to thank the many people from Wayne State and the Wayne community who also helped make this event happen.

Wayne High speech will be back in action on Friday, February 8 during the Wakefield Invitational.
