Wayne School Board To Meet At Elementary Monday

WAYNE – After hosting a board retreat last Wednesday, the Wayne Community Schools Board of Education will hold their regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Monday, December 14.

From the Wayne Community Schools Elementary Commons, the group will review the Education Financial Claims at 4:30 p.m. followed by the regular agenda at 5 p.m.

Under personnel, a teacher resignation will be brought forward before moving into the second reading of new policies from legislation under old business.

Moving into new business, the superintendent contract will be addressed followed by a COVID-19 up date.

Board of Education members in Wayne will then discuss, consider and take action on the high school restroom project. The group will look to select the ‘Construction Management at Risk’ (CMR) method of construction delivery for the proposed plumbing and renovations. Also, the board will look to determine the percentage weight to be given to the CMR selection criteria and appoint a CMR Selection Committee.

The Family First Coronavirus Response Act for an employee leave policy will also be presented Monday evening along with the first draft of the 2021-22 school calendar.
