Wayne School Board To Address Several New Business Items

WAYNE – After hosting a pair of meetings in the month of March, the Wayne Community Schools Board of Education will return for their April regularly scheduled agenda on Monday.

From the Jr/Sr High School Library, the board will open their meeting at 5 p.m. and address the elementary assistant principal position.

Jamie Behmer, a Heartland Counselor will then provide a presentation while Misty Beair will review the EL program.

In new business, the Wayne School Board will act on the approval of their Strategic Plan before hearing more information on a Letter of Agreement for Bond Study. Directors salaries as well as the classified staff salary schedule for the 2022-23 school year will also be addressed.

Other new business items include the first and final readings for the 2022-23 non-certified staff handbook; accept 2022 graduate list; approve last day of the current school year; approve bid for elementary HVAC project; look at Elementary gym bleachers quote as well as first readings for the 2022-23 7-12 student handbook and 2022-23 kids club handbook.

Among administrative reports, the City of Wayne will provide their annual tax increment financing (TIF) report while more information will be brought back following the March 29 special board meeting pertaining to the Community Facility Committee.

The April honor coffee will honor the Yearbook Staff; State Speech representatives and Jr. High State Science Fair.
