Wayne School Board Of Education Meeting To Start At 7 p.m. Following Open Houses

WAYNE – As Wayne Community Schools will be holding their open houses this evening, the monthly Board of Education meeting will also take place during the second Monday in August.

Open house schedules for K-6 elementary and 7-12 Wayne Jr/Sr high school will last from 5 – 7 p.m. which will push the school board meeting back to a later time. From the Superintendent’s office, the financial meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. with half of the board before the regularly scheduled agenda will take place from the Jr/Sr high school library (Room 202) at 7 p.m. tonight.

New staff introductions will be announced at the beginning of the meeting followed by several old business items to be addressed. Second readings for policy updates will be needed.

Under new business, a handful of first readings will be heard along with a Wayne facility study update proposal, HVAC bid and Mid States Bus Transportation Addendum.

Superintendent, Dr. Mark Lenihan will provide a budget update along with other administration updates from the high school principal, special education/early learning center director, elementary principal and junior high principal/athletic director.
