WAYNE – With the Youth Winter Reading Challenge underway, there’s still plenty to do at the Wayne Public Library.
According to a release from the Wayne Public Library, the challenge began on Monday, November 21 for youth 19 years of age or younger. Pick up your paper log book and register for this challenge at the circulation desk to participate. This challenge will be only available in-house on paper with no Beanstack access. Youth will be able to log reading to earn tickets towards prizes.
Also, ‘Tasteful Tuesday’s’ continues at the Wayne Public Library. Each Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. in November, coffee and treats will be available. Remaining Tuesday’s include November 22 and 29. This will be a first come, first-serve event available until gone.
Hang out with Miss Kim on Wednesdays or Thursdays at 10 a.m. for Toddler Time. From stories, music, dancing, busy bags, and more will be highlighted. Meet other parents and kids in the area and learn about the various services and reading programs the library offers. With the library being closed later this week, Toddler Time will return next week.
Each Thursday will be set aside for the Needle Night group at 6:30 p.m. in the library. Enjoy conversation and good company while working on your personal needlework projects. All kinds of decorative sewing and textile arts handicrafts are welcome. With the library closed this week, Needle Night will return next week.
The ‘Book Club’ will close out the month on Tuesday, November 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the library conference room. Event officials ask that participants bring what they’re currently reading to discuss with the group and bring suggestions for next year’s book club reads.
The Wayne Public Library will be closed Wednesday, November 23 – Friday, November 25 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.
Library hours include Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and from 2 – 5 p.m. on Sunday’s.
